About Me

Aleksandr Fomin graduated from Saratov State Technical University (SSTU), Saratov, Russia in 2005. He received a Ph.D. (Candidate of Technical Science) in "Electrotechnology" in 2008 (SSTU). Since 2009 he has been working as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Electronic Technology and Engineering of SSTU. Since 2013 he is a Postdoctoral Student at the Chair «Welding and metallurgy». His research interests include power electronic converter design, induction heating, plasma spraying, oxidation, laser treatment, materials science, electron microscopy, surface engineering of biomedical items (implants, etc.).
